What is hyaluronic acid?
 
Hyaluronic acid is a sugar-like compound that is produced naturally in the body and is particularly popular as a component of skin care products due to its ability to bind water firmly. It is also involved in the nutrient supply of the skin, can neutralize free radicals and positively influence the skin's ability to regenerate. However, the natural content in the skin decreases over the course of a lifetime and can be replenished with hyaluronic cosmetics.
 
Hyaluronic acid is produced biotechnologically and is therefore not an animal product.
 
Effect
 
In our RAU Cosmetics products we use hyaluronic acid in both the short-chain and long-chain forms.
 
The long-chain hyaluronic acid can effectively bind moisture in the upper skin layer and thus have an immediate cushioning effect on the skin. The skin tightening and smoothing result is clearly visible very quickly after application.
In contrast, the short-chain hyualuronic acid penetrates the upper skin layer and can influence the internal moisture balance in the long term. With regular use it comes to a moisture-promoting long-term effect, the skin is better supplied with moisture and thus appears firmer and more youthful.
